General Pharmacology

Pharmacology is the study of drugs and other compounds that produce a biological response in human body. General Pharmacology deals with the basic principles of Pharmacology. It is broadly classified into Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics. This course provides basic principles of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics and their application to the clinical setting.

The course will be carried out in the form of small group discussions, Problem based learning (PBLs) and Individual presentations. The students will be assessed by their attendance, short quizzes and a written assessment at the end of the course. The marks obtained in the written assessment will contribute to the internal assessment at the time of final examination.
